I just purchased two older model amps and I wanted to say how satisfied with them I am! I really like the internal layout, 180deg fet mounting not to mention the overall sound was a lot better than my previous Z1a and cough cough IA40.1 . Don't get me wrong those are really great amps and I have had a lot of amps my most favorite being the IA40.1 my second is the Z1a what a power house. Now the 3000D's are strong but they seem to be more musical maybe a higher dampening rate? I noticed it was good as a single but got MUCH better when strapped does the dampening rate double when strapping this would be interesting. I have them both on a 16V system and at 1/4 gain, 1ohm on a TC 5200. Also I have noticed they don't get hot even in the trunk.
