Hello to all. This is my first post allthough i have been reading on the board for some time now. Like the title say's it's time to get rid of my old head unit eclipse cd 5441 its been a great deck an i have no problemes with it now, it's just time for an upgrade. I like all the functions of that deck so i dont wanna loose any of that but i just bought my i-pod ( big step for me i really diss like apple) an i want somthing that will let me use it that i can control from the deck. price point 350-400 dollars, an sat radio i would love to have aswell. Oh yeah an 1 more ??? i really dont understand the whole 3 volt, 5 volt an 8 volt pre out thing can you clue me in??? so i can make the right choice??

Check into the Pioneer Premier DEH-P690UB or the DEH-P880PRS with optional CD-IB100II.
i loved my 780 also check out the premier 790 it has blue tooth hehe. to make this easy... umm more the more voltage the louder your speakers and sub will be. this being if you have a amp to your speakers

Not true. Higher voltage RCA's are to help combat any trace noises induced into the system from other electronic fields emmited by the car/other audio equipment. With higher voltages, it means you can turn your amp gains down more so that any trace noises aren't amplified and sent to the speakers... whining, humming, popping, etc.... That is, if your system suffers from noise. If not, then higher output voltages really aren't going to make much difference in obtaining satisfactory levels of sound volume.

I ran the 880PRS-IB100 set-up and was very happy when I had it. Gives you alot of on board processing and versatility to boot.
