Saving files to usb?

I had some music files on a usb drive and plugged it into my new head unit, but apparently they are in the wrong format or something. How do you save the files on the usb so they will play correctly on the head unit?

They need to be .mp3. I think they also need to be in folders and no more than like 255 files per folder or something

It's a Kenwood head unit

A lot of Flash drives are formatted to NTFS and i know most head units will not read that. In Windows or w.e you use format the drive to FAT32. then load .mp3's...Should be good to go from there.

Got it to work...just had to put the files into folders.
