SAT tips?

I just registered to take the SAT exam on March 10th. I was wondering what you guys have done to get good scores, what your recommendations are?

I'd LOVE to come out with a great score and not have to retake the test... and I'm actually kind of nervous.

I've seen a lot of books and computer programs, any suggestions with that?

Thanks guys!

my first and foremost tip, would be to take the test at least 3 times. no matter how good you think your score is. sat is cummulative, so if your best score in writing was on your first test, and your best math score was on another test, then you get to combine those two seperate tests for your total ***. score. also, make sure you get a sat question book and study that. since they have questions that were actually on the sat and all. that is pretty much it. oh and stop having other people do your work lol.

Not sure, but ill tell you this much. ABACADABA probably wont work //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Goodluck.

Dont eat a huge breakfast before hand. Just a snack and like 1 glass of drink. The test is sooooooo long and trust me, the Denny's Grand Slam meal will hit you right after the bathroom break.

just relax, take your time and use common sense

if you dont kno the answer, just go with your first impulse

i got a 1750 on mine, almost shit myself when i saw that score, i couldnt beleive it, i was never the brightest kid in school....ask acold7dusta...he'll back that one up

Nvm, common sense

Get A LOT of sleep before the test.

Get the college board prep books. Read the whole thing, do all the practice tests. Study as much as you can for that first test, so you can try and get a merit scholarship //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I wish I could go back and change my study habits. My highest was a 1280. 580 verbal, 700 math.

98% of colleges could not give a shit about the writing section.

Also take the SAT IIs if you can.

I found the ACT to be much easier IMO. Got a 28 on the first try. You get more time for each section, and it's not split up so much.

Heres my warm up question. Little Johnnys want to know how tall his tree is. He is standing 15 m from it and looks up at an angle of 60 degrees to the top. Little Johnny is approximately 1.3 m tall. How tall is the tree?

I'm so bad at the verbal.. Pulled off a 720 and 780 on SAT II Math 1, Math 2 respectively without studying, but I got a freaking 580 on the verbal haha. I hate english //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Nice try. There's no such thing as "m" in measurements. **** Canadiens.
