sorry if my terminology is incorrect; i'm a noob in car audio.
i've searched for about 2 weeks now and i couldn't find anything related to my problem so i figured i'd ask here. sorry if this is in the wrong forum. i recently got a sanyo ecd-t1550 from a friend to replace the broken stock stereo in my 97 cavalier. the wire harness on the old stereo was ****ed up so i clipped the wires and hooked up an after market harness. everything on the cd player is functioning properly except a couple times a day the cd player makes a loud, rapid clicking noise for about 20 seconds and then ejects the cd. the cd keeps playing back normally while the noise is occuring. i have already capped any/all loose wires so they can't touch the body of the player; as this was the only thing i could think of causing the problem. unless of course it's an internal problem with the stereo itself; but i didn't get it from a store and i can't return it to the seller because he's a ****. the stereo was unopened in it's original box when i got it so i don't think it was the sellers fault anyway.
can anyone help me out or give me any suggestions?
