I worked down there the first 5 months of this year in the Eagleford Shale. Yes, SA is major Hispanic and everything from there west and south to Laredo, I declare Texaco..
What do you do Quack? Roughneck? I worked on the Eagle Ford also down in Port Arthur. Mapping pipelines away from the deposit area. I wanted to get into Right of Way but those guys are gone all year! Make a lot of money though. Not good on a marriage with kids involved though...

No roughnecking here, way better jobs in the Oilfields besides that crap..Well Testing, same scenario though, live on locations in travel trailers for weeks at a time.

It wasn't meant to be an insult. Roughnecking is good pay! I'll tell you one thing I'm glad I'm in Oklahoma after the election. Obama won't let any federal lands be explored for new shale plays for the next four years. He's shutting down coal too... Sad. Coal miners voted for him too. Hard to figure people out some times. Didn't mean to get political. Not a Romney fan either but he would've been better for oil and gas exploration.

Guess that means you made it home safely today. lol

I like the San Antonio/Austin area. Lots of fun to be had, and not all of the fun requires drinking.

Both are very fun places. Austin is the King of BBQ for **** sure and San Antonio is a boozers paradise especially along the riverwalk. Either is a good choice, much fun to be had in either.

Looked into Heatwave, definitely have to make it out to that. Looks like a decent area, you guys have thrown quite a bit out there. It will be weird to be back in the states at first, been gone for 4 years. I'm sure much hasn't changed.

LOL..no insult taken, I was just referring to the fact there are much better jobs available than roughnecking...much better pay and better work conditions in general
