I been looking at amps over the last few days I got about $500 to spend and a bit more on tap from collateral loan that a buddy offered. I want a good powerful quality amp, that will take abuse. But I know I'm am reacting the upper limits of my power supply. I have 2 Sundown D2 x18s. 1500rms not even broke in yet. I was set on the Salt 4k but I was just looking at the BC6k for the same price with a 2yr/.5ohm protection warrenty from D4S. With that I can run my subs in series at 2 ohm and break them in right around their RMS rating. And later on down the road when I add 3rd ofc run and a 2nd perhaps 3rd xs xp3000 I can. Get froggy and run them at .5 and really feed them subs some power. I see alot of people running the x series on 8k in some of the groups I'm in saying they will eat 2500-3000w each easy. And if I blow them I can get recones to run them at 1ohm. Just curious what more experienced guys think between the decision. My power consist of a 300a Excessive Amperage Alt, a new G24 Odyssey AGM, a new XS Xp3000, double runs front to back from the alt to the amp. With 6 300a fuses in all the vital areas.
This is pretty much for enjoyment and competition.
My thought is the 6k .5 stable amp with a warrenty over a 4k 1ohm stable without. For the same price. The Cresendo look super high quality. But the Salt looks like a beast too. The Cresendo gives me head room to grow tho and seems to be the more capable of the 2 amps.
Thanks in advance, sorry if I'm making too man topics. Just couldnt find much on the Cresendo so I'm curious about the brand.
