god you people piss me off... There are alot more interests in the region than oil (Israel anyone?) but that's not the point. You act like oil is something bad to protect, like we could go on living our lives with oil. I've got news for you buddy, oil is important, **** IMPORTANT. If some like ohh OPEC for instance decided to **** with us (because we have grown weak and flabby b/c of people like you) and double or triple the price of our oil we'd be screwed. Not just because it would cost two or three time the cash to go drive and see grandma. It would be the massive cost-push inflation, job losses, higher heating costs. It might even kill people in places like the north east where oil is used for heating....

For god's sake, OIL IS WORTH FIGHTING OVER.... especially since the hippies have deemed the lives of some caribou more important than human life.... or the pristine views of the ocean more important than human life... or the whiney bitches who got the government to stop building nuclear power plants.... If we where allowed to find our own oil and energy by reasonable means we might not be in this war.

we invaded iraq because our leaders thought (or told us they did anyway) he had weapons of mass destruction. north korea has been saying for years they intended to make these weapons, and now they have them, yet we do nothing but as you say "watch them."
how about iran, they dont seem to be very friendly lately? did your usaf colonel uncle inform you that saddam actually agreed to our terms before we invaded?

Sigh, you are so narrow minded. The WMDs were a sales pitch, and a perfectly good reason to invade. Why would we invade Iraq? Well because it's right smack dab in the middle of Syria and Iran, two countries that are way more important to have a tight chain on. The oil doesn't hurt, but if we where just in it for oil all we would have to do is lift the embargo, but we are too principled for that, we actually care about human rights and such.

Anyways my woman is here... last note... we don't bother with NK because of China... it's in their interest to keep him under control and not in our interest to be on china's border

how many innocent people lost their lives because of the greed and desire for power, revenge, Jihad..whatever you wanna call it?? Those people didnt have the chice or a warning to exit the building before it was destroyed...it was on US soil hence it was an attack against our country, or residents lives, and our way of living. yah, some of what they do is bullshit... but that doesn't stop them from being one of the best, most fair, least corrupt, and effective governments on the planet.
