SA-8 drop in recone

Woofer cooker or SPLaudio help me out here.

Have a blown SA-8,

want a new style soft parts, or a beefier drop in for it.

I plan on painting the basket and dressing the motor up and maybe a fancy dust cap.

Btw, this is my 1st recone job.

Your best bet is going to be to contact Jacob. I couldn't even get woofercooker to reply to me when I just was interested in getting a recone kit from him. Guess he'll only reply if you're buying a whole reconed sub from him //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif. In any case I think the SA-8 is pretty solid as it is. I think your main limiting factor is the spider.

Although if you want to go the "custom" route I'd contact SPLAudio, he might be able to help you out.

splaudio is def the man to see, though i'm not sure much can be added to what already comes stock as far as upgrades.., maybe a nicer dustcap or high roll surround for no reason?

Woofercooker can hook you up with a stock drop in. Prices on the SA8 recones has went up quite a bit recently though.
