ok im in the process of modifying my 84 s10...i have the stereo for it..but what i really want to do is weld the cap on the bed and i was told the caps are fiberglass so do i need special brackets or what do i need to complete this project???? im really lost and would appreciate the help....and please no smart *****..i know how some of u are...im serious about this question and need help....thanx

What "cap" are you looking to weld on?

whatever "cap" is easiest..i dont have a cap for it....what i am lookin to do is cut the back of the cab out then weld the cap to the bed and have all that open space....

You mean a bed cover...

Not a cap... a cap in our language is a Capacitor...and you put fire to it...you'll be in an ambulance....

You don't need to weld anything brotha...

Get you a hard toneau cover that is made of fiberglass...they have a locking mechanism at the tailgate end.....no need to weld anything...

The cap was throwing me off....

as "bigbassman" how Rob Eldridge did his....perfect example...j

but when i look into it...its just all wood...so i don't know how he did it...
