I've seen several of their ebay listings and just wondering if they put together some good component sets.

Here is a set of components I was looking at.

I have bought many items from Patrick at the robotunderground. The mid-woofers are super nice an Orion & a/d/s (pre-DEI) venture. Good quality stuff there, the network is a/d/s, the tweeters I don't know much about or where they are sourced from but he even provides the protective cups for door/hatch installation and the price is cerainly fair. When Orion was on top of their game a component set like that would easily cost you $300 plus.

I don't think you will be disappointed with the sound, it sure is alot better than some of the new crap being peddled out there today. If you want different tweeters later I know a guy that has tons of a/d/s stuff. I don't care for most metal dome tweeters they sound overly bright and edgy to me on some source material.

I like those Orion mids (or the 4ohm version), but like frzninvt said above those tweeters might be bright sounding if they're mounted near your ears.

You can also contact Richard (ads_speakers) on eBay he can piece you together a nice component set from all pre-DEI a/d/s pieces. I picked up the killer a/d/s 336PX tweeters from him, he also has the top of the line networks, just pick a mid bass driver or use a Morel driver of equal efficiency like the MW-166 or MW-168.

Patrick I am sure would be willing to substitute pieces to make a custom set for you, just ask. If you want some killer coaxials that rival many component sets he has the Orion Coincident 6.5" that have outboard networks for like $70 plus shipping.
