its all imaginary
So rush at our college (Georgetown College, Georgetown, KY) is this week and next week. This week was the informal "parties" where we would just go to the house and hang out, get to know people etc. Next week is the second stage of Rush where fraternities invite certain people back to the house for a formal dinner, and then Bid Day is friday.
Anyway, I pretty much knew which fraternities I wanted to join quite a while ago, but it was fun to get to know people at all the fraternities. We only have 4 Greek frats and 1 frat-like association at our college, but rush is still a pretty big deal.
I really want to join Lambda Chi Alpha or Phi Kappa Tau, but we also have Pi Kappa Alpha, the Kappa Alpha Order, and President's House Association (only at G-Town).
Just wanted to know who else is rushing this semester and curious to see what Rush is like at other schools. I know several people on here hate on fraternities a lot, but at Georgetown they are not what everyone stereotypes them to be. I don't know if that is because we go to a small, strict school or what, but here the frats are really close friends and do more community service than any other groups on campus, and Greeks have higher GPAs than independents also, so before you knock fraternities, think about the benefits at least in my case.
Anyway, just curious to see how rush works at other schools and just see how many current members here are Greek or going Greek.
