srsly though, don't try to run as fast as you can because that will only wear you out. keep a consistent pace with consistent, deep breaths so you can get as much oxygen as possible per breath.
Maybe try running for longer periods of time and/or farther than a mile, that would probably help your endurance more than just running a mile.
