hey guys

im interested in setting up a system that doesnt get too loud, but has clean low end, not really any spl...i value the space in the cab so i was thinking about throwing an infinity basslink under the drivers seat and the passenger seat. its an 88 ford...head unit i am looking to get is a pioneer, not sure which model number...is there anything special i need to know to hook up two basslinks instead of one, or do i just send wires to each and hope for the best...i dont wanna accidently overload anything....thanks...

You can easily run 2 of them, if needed you just use an RCA splitter. Have you looked at the dimentions of the basslink? It's not all that small.....you better have tall seats to fit one under there......

actually i havent checked those dimensions...i just hear they are easy to throw anywhere...i figure ill find somewhere to mount em tho...is getting two an intelligent idea or would one be fine?

I dont think that the bass links will fit under a seat, ive never seen one installed but in the shops where ive seen them they look to be around 5-8 inches deep and maybe around 15-20 inches square. Dont hold me to those demensions, im just trying to remember how they looked when i saw them.

the basslink would work, but you could probably save some money on a diff setup that would sound better too. a little more work on the setup end, but alot of places charge an arm and a leg for a basslink.

Yeah, the basslinks are actually around 9 inches deep, so they won't be fitting under too many seats. You be better off getting a good 8" sub and putting it under there. Would save money and space.

when i heard my friends basslink it didnt sound to good to me. have you listened to it? my friend has a 88 truck and he built a box to fit behind the seat and it fit like a glove with two 8in subs. if you have a tight space you can look around and find a sub that you like that has a shallow mount depth.

its not that i am that short on space...i dont dont want anything too complicated...honestly i dont even have the vehicle that i wanna put the system in...in time, i will tho...as far as budget...i can get an infinity basslink for around two hundy on ebay, so there ya go...

thx for the replys guys
