what is the #1 goal of any politician? getting re-elected. that says it all.

I agree man, thats the *****est part about politics. You can't trust any candidate and the only thing you can consistently count on is them doing what they do, not what they say.

what sucks is that the independant can't be an influence in politics, really. the last one who was, was ross perot. he had no chance of getting elected, but he influenced clinton right in to office by swaying conservative votes away from bob dole. the influence the independants have is secondary.

Its an influence no matter how you look at it. I'm hoping Paul does not run independant as he will never win, but could very well lose the election for the republicans.

he would lose it for them. it'll be hard for the republicans to win anyway. ron paul as an independant would leave no chance at all. i hate to be negative, but i believe hillary will be president. the pendulum has swung that way after the bad media concerning republicans. if there is an america left after a fully democrat government, it'll swing back. i forsee both houses of congress and the president being democrat for at least 4 years. watch the circus ensue and hope america is still america after the people realize how moronic and ignorant democrat politicians are these days. they are way far to the left of the typical, regular, every day democrat you work with or know are.

What most people fail to consider is

no matter what the points of veiws are and what the candidates

think we should be doing - Who of the bunch are good leaders

who has the experience to lead the people of america

Leadership is most important IMO and RonPaul is no leader

I'm a registered Dem but don't like any of their main candidates. I took a long look at Kucinich and Paul. Some of there ideas are refreshing and they bring a real independent view to these debates, which is great.

I think I'm going to end up voting for McCain though. I don't agree with him on many issues but he's the only one with the right mix of experience, condor, and creditbility to take on many of the upcoming issues.

He actually was screaming for a surge a good 18 months before it happend and his own party crucified him. The finally complete the surge and now they can't stop talking about "their" limited success.

On the Dem side my favs are still Biden and Kucinich. Wouldn't tought Hillary and Obama with a 10ft pole.
