Is the quality between the rsd coaxial and components very big? I just want to go with the coaxial to be easy. Will feeding them 50W be anywhere enough? Any other cheap 6.5's out there that would do good with that kind of power?

The RSD's need anywhere from 60-150w RMS to play how you'd want them to play. If you have any less wattage, get some Pyramids or Sony Explods.

after reading up on the pg rsd's i plan to get a set and put a kicker zx450.2 on them. and most importantly deaden and seal my doors. this will happen as soon as a get some money together as i am dead broke right now.

i don't want to get into a big debate but i took them off for a night with bad results so i put them back in. the voltage was dropping when before it wasn't, and the bass wasn't hitting like it was before it sounded wierd. so in my setup they helped. maybe once i do the big 3 i won't need them. i don't know.

i bought them off ebay really cheap (i think i paid less than $120 for all 3) when i was a newb. but i figured since i had them from my first system they couldn't hurt anything.

its all good. Its your setup. Whatever works for you.

i don't like the idea either. but i had them from my very first system(back from when i was a total newb) so i figured i'd use them and in my case they are helping for some reason..

I stuck between the rsd and ryval comps. Since I only have 50W and the rsd's are rated for 60W (and is power hungry + low sensitivity [88 dB]), am I better off getting the ryvals instead? The ryvals are rated at 50W RMS with a sensitivity of 91 dB.

I just ordered a set of rsd 6 1/2" comps ($87 shipped) and 6 1/2" coaxials ($57 shipped) off ebay for my wife's car. I'll be feeding them 50 watts from an alpine amp.

I'm in the same situation, looking for speakers... With a OZ Audio 50x4 Amp..

I like the comments about the RSDs and I'm thinking about Front comps + rear coaxs, so tell me!! How good is the sound with 50~60 rms each?

haha nice bump. Forget about the rears, and bridge your 4-channel to the fronts. Hopefully they'll get 120w+ or what have you, and you will forget about rears.

My set arrived today. Heavier than I was expecting, I dunno why (maybe cause they're $87). I'm planning to run mine active off a JL 500/5. B-)
