i have the rsd's and am very happy with them. i have never heard the revs so i cannot comment on them.

Eclipse has a new set I've seen on ebay for as low as $145 shipped. Other than that, for only $25 over your budget you could get Cerwin Vega V-max 65 from onlinecarstereo.com

Those two choices would be a step up from what you listed.

Sounds like you havent even heard the eclipse set, and as for the vmax's, they are maybe comparible to the polk dbs.. - Towncar, you are full of it... you have to be affiliated with Phoenix Gold... that's the only speaker brand you ever seem to recommend. Half the time I post lately, you have to come by and do clean up for your company. Just keep it up... you are really making an *** out of yourself.

I'd probably choose the REV comps if I only had 70w rms to work with, tbh.

No, not worth it. I auditioned the TMA comps a while back and was failed to be impressed. Midbass was flat and lacking and the tweeters were meh. I kind of got suspicious when a local dealer had them on clearance for $119 set (from $199).

Like mentioned, you come here recommending crap that you have never even heard. It was clear in your previous post that you have not even heard the eclipse set, or any other set you speak so highly of. I am not affiliated with pg, and I often make other suggestions to pg. I am just here answering some of the questions because i know a good bit about pg products. Not calling the rsd's the best by any means, but quit making suggestions about crap you have not even heard.

What are you guys talking about? How in the heck do you know what I have heard and have not heard? Obviously, you guys don't know me and have not read my posts. I've heard many of the sets I talk about including the Cerwins' and the RSDs'. The Cerwins are comparable to the Focal kevlar series in sound... the big difference is the Cerwins' sell for half the price.

I've been in and around the audio business for 23 years, and have heard a lot of speakers over the years. I have worked for many companies including JL Audio.

I have REV coax and they are by far the best coax in the market, havent heard the comps, but the coax are really nice, but now i'm looking for and upgrade for my front stage, that's why i'm looking for the RSd.

You'll typically get a big jump in sound quality for your dollar by going with components over coaxes.

The Rev components sound better to me than the lower Focal lines.

RSD's FTW! they sound amaaaazzing and can get loud as well if you have some power on tap.
