rounding port corners?

does it change the frequency of the box? and what type is better round or 45's?
I was... joking.

However, there are a few cases where they've gotten better numbers.

And if you do it right, the port length shouldn't change.

And round is better.

The best port is a straight port. So, you're attempt to create a straight-port type of environment.

not an option making it straight, its 35 inches long and a L shape already

i was just wondering if anyone knew for sure before i decide to round the back corner of the loading wall

Yes.

Either option will work since they're both a lot better than a 90 degree bend. Round should be better but realistically it might not make to much difference as long as the airflow out of the port becomes significantly smoother. As far as changing the frequency...it shouldn't effect it as long as you don't alter the port "volume" by much (I mean adding a 45 degree corner that makes the port become narrower).

does anyone have stories of db gain from rounding the port corners inside the box?
and should they be fully round like a 1/4 piec of pvc would do?

or

just have a straight piece of wood giving it like a 45 degree angle?

Adding a 45 in the corner keeps the port width closer to actual around the bend, it doesn't make it narrower.
