round pvc port round off question.

i was wondering how big of a difference would it really make if i had a 6 inch port and i rounded off the edge of both ends just 3/4 of an inch compared to say 1.5 inches.

Any bit is better than nothing. As for quantifiable gains, only the mic can tell. Your results will depend on the sub, tuning, box volume and power applied.

makes sense, i guess trial and error is my best bet...

there was a site i saw a while back with some guy doing all sorts of crazy ports and he even did some testing on wind turbulance or something like that, i don't remember him showing anything as far as difference in output though...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

You could get the end of the port real hot and shape it by stuffing a bowl or something similar in there.
