Rockford Punch 125.2 schematics

Anyone know where i can find schematics for a punch 125.2 amp.

I think its been worked on before and there is alot of different parts in it, i have now found all of them i need to order, but there is alot of mixed up parts and not sure if thats how it should be. want to find schematics on it and double check what transistors and fets its supposed to have..

for future reference... cross ref with mouser parts..

Ok so now the confusing part... # 5-6 should be the same part as 13-14 but the 5-6 part has a F on the end.. i know this might sound the same.. but most parts i found that have 1 single different number on the end means a lot... different polarity ect..

Parts 3-11 and not the same.. took me 2 days searching to find a similar part if you notice #3 U1620R KAK and #11 U1620 AKA.. kak and aka are the diode polarity of the chip. do not confuse these as the same thing..

I found these as replacement.. NTE6240 & NTE6244

NTE6240– Positive Center–Tap

NTE6244– Negative Center–Tap

im not sure what one is what #3 or #11 im so confused at this point lolz but i know you need the 2 different parts either way..

#5-6 are IRF540F and #13-14 dont have F on the end.. i think the "F" ones are a few more amps but just looking at data sheets now its only 2 AMP different so probably not an issue to use the same ones..

Does anyone have one of these old punch 125.2 they can pull the bottom cover and tell me what chips are in it..

#4 and #12 i would think should be the same part but in mine they are different..

all of them in series are different then the opposite side, thats why i think this has been worked on before and someone just slapped whatever in it and maybe why its not working now

 
Rockford Fosgate is usually very good about supplying schematics for amps they are no longer producing. You can go dig around on their site and find contact info there. I may also have the schematic here. Let me look for you. I can tell you this about these amps........If you have to replace the outputs do not use the IRF540N in place of the IRF540. I know on paper they look the same but the rockfords do not like that N version of the IRF540 for some reason.

 
the IRF540 and 9540's are both on mouser and almost $5.00 each... there is 4 of each.. OUCH..

The have these instead under $2.00 IRF540PBF And IRF9540PBF they have the same specs.. one is new version and one is older version i think..... same manufacture.

But this amp has 2 IRF5400-F and on the other side just IRF540...

I would think that both sides should have the same part. some of these chips had different writing too some white bold writing some hard to see writing.. i think they have been changed before and probably wasnt the right part so it failed again..

Its going to cost me at least $50.00 for all 16 chips and i dont want it to fail the first time i fire it up would be a waste of money, so i want the proper parts, finding the schematics is a must before i order.

I also have another rockford 4.6x amp in need of repair, one i used for 2 years up until 2 months ago it failed on me, simply just needs some new output transistors and fets, also need schematics because this was the first amp i ever tore apart and removed some of the chips and i dont know where they go back in LOL.. but it also uses most of the same parts as the 125.2.

Once i can cross reference all the other parts then ill keep notes and later when i come across more blown rockfords ill know where to look

 
i believe yiou were the one posted in the other thread, where i already outlined the "pbf" designation. the same part, just certified lead-free. i also mentioned not to use cheaper quality parts like nte. they may work just fine, but i hae seen them physically fall off. it's the radio chack brand. also, look around to the different sites, as i have seen mouser prices a little high at times. if you are putting new outputs in the 4.6x, then, since i believe it should be the same outputs, you should order 10 of each. digging around, i would say you could end up spending 15 per side to feed the outputs in both amps. do not forget to replace the large resistors attached to each output as well. same goes for the small gate resistors in the power supply to the fets.

Not me i dont think.. this is the first topic i started and said anything about the 125.2 amp i have.

Whats the small gate resistors look like and what about the output ?

Im repairing a kenwood amp for a friend.. it has 2 output transistors shorted. C4467 only the 2 i have tested all the others and all Ohm the same so im not worrying about taring other parts off the board. amp works on right channel with the 2 shorted C4467's removed from the left side. it would power on and shut right off before.
