Let me get you a spoon...
This question is actually for my roommate. He just got a RF Power DVC 10" sub. It is dual 4 ohm, a few years old but never been hooked up. He has another one, but he hasn't got it shipped down, it is about 5 hours driving time away. He also received a brand new zx400.ti phoenix gold amp. rated 400watts@4 ohms. The question he has is if the rockford will be able to handle the power from the phoenix at 2 ohms. The power of the sub is 400 RMS and the power of the amp at 2 ohms should be a fair bit more than that. If required he will get the other sub and run the amp at a 1ohm load and just underpower the subs. He is more into SQ and therfore he doesn't want 2 10s if 1 will do the job. Any help for him would be great.
