Hi, I'm looking for two 12" sub woofers to put in my Nissan Hardbody. This will be my first system and I've came to a conclusion. Rockford Fosgate P3 or Sundown E-12D4?

sundown over these new RF's any day .....if it's not a power series, I wont waste my time with it.

H'm....go with one beefy woofer. Noobs think you need two woofer to be loud. You don't. One 12 or 15 on 1000+ Watts and you'll have car shaking bass.

I vote sa-12

Two woofers on 500 Rms each is the same loudness as one woofer on 1000rms. That's how the cone area/power ration works.

You get a 3 DB increase from doubling power or doubling cone area. It just gets to the point where power becomes more expensive than adding woofers and thus people add woofers.

mostly cosmetic. The amount of people that actually had coil tick was negligible at best. Vast majority got good working woofers.

I would not hesitate to buy from the yardsale. May need to re-cone, but would probably be fine.

$440 woofer. Yea sure. Tons of them. Do you have the power to push it. Thats the real question.

Are you going for sound quality or spl? Pretty much anything over 1000rms(which any 400$ sub will be) is no longer sound quality because the bass is just so over powering....someones gonna argue that im sure.

Thats in the realm of really fucking loud woofer though and not so much on the sound quality side.
