Rockford or Memphis?

Hey guys how much better would the Rockford fosegate power series t1500 be over my Memphis mcd1500? They both put out 1500 rms at 2 ohms but which amp would be easier on my electrical like current draws ect or will they be about the same?

There both power hogs, looks at Taramps for high efficiency.

Im in houston as well, what side of town you on?

I don't have numbers to back it up but my mc-1500d sounded much louder than my buddies Rockford 1500 when we swapped them onto the xcon I was running

Unless you're buying them used local, you could find a better deal on that kind of power

I already own the old school Memphis mcd1500, just wondering if the t1500 would be better. I have a sundown x12 wired to 2 ohms on my mcd1500 at the current moment

You probably won't notice a difference between the two but you need to get that Memphis down to 1 ohm and woull be happy

Actually I have the newer 1500. Is yours the one that is only stable to 2 ohms?

Yea its only 2 ohm stable, 1500 rms at 2 ohms

Hits good but dims my lights a little, already have 0 gauge with big 3 and 2000 kinitek bat and I can't really Upgrade the alt on my Malibu Caz it wouldn't change the output

I love the old school Memphis stuff. Not worth switching to Rockford. I'm not a fan of the way they list ratings or the way people think they are made of gold. Like a certain co worker of mine haha.

You could always go with external regulation of the alt.
