Rockford Fosgate vs JL Audio

this is why i a, trying to rebuild and figure out what the hell is wrong i think it might be wired at 4 ohms and the way my box is set up might have alot to do with it

No...I am actually surprised but Fedx claimed full responsibility. What ever happened, did so at a shipping center while in transit.

I will find another one but this one was from my child hood....

I was actually looking forward to putting it head to head against my custom built Bob Latino ST120....that and getting my dad off my back about not having his "vintage system" up and running...lol.

well an equivalent would probably be a w6 or a w7, both decent woofers imo, but you can get much better with that amount of money. assuming you're looking at 12" woofers, $500 for a 12w6 and $600 for a 12w7.

Dont know about equivalent...

The w6 is a straight SQ driver where the T1 is not. The W7....well not really either imo...

w7 and w6's can get loud I have had two 12w6's in a ported box on a 1000/1 slightly lifting girlfriends hair in the window and I also had two 13w7's great sql driver imo smokes the 12w7 by far I also vote JL for newer equipment, now the old rockford like the power series I have a thing for those, they were great drivers

the box is ported but i though it was sealed the way they set it up the port fires up through where the stock sub used to be so i do not think my box is adequate but i was thinking of splitting the subs on the left and right of the trunk and this is off topic but i am new to photo bucket so i don't know how to upload the photos?

yeah i know that theres no straight comparision, but in terms of power handling those are as close as it gets. since a t1 definitely aint similar to no w3 lol

Jl and rockfords subs are both meh in my opinion. Rockfords amps are great as well as jl's but jl prices are just terrible. Take a look at the SSA store. You can't go wrong with any brands on there.

so the vote is for JL w6? or should i try to just get my box to optimal performance then go from there? i am seriously lost and out of ideas i was thinking about like i said split the up the subs and give them each the T1500 amp i have just the 1 T1500 amp so is this a good idea or no?

Dude, if you're interested in competition RF and JL are the last things you should be looking into.
