Just puttin that out there!!
I heard Pioneers off of 120w, and Im sure they can handle 150 no problem!Pioneer Premier TS-C720PRS - 50w rms.
Kicker KX450.2 - 2x150w rms @ 4 ohms
Is this more power than Pioneer can handle?
Nope. I auditioned a set of the 720PRS's off a Pioneer ICE 2100T amp, which is rated for 2x150w rms @ 4 ohms. They sounded amazing!Pioneer Premier TS-C720PRS - 50w rms.
Kicker KX450.2 - 2x150w rms @ 4 ohms
Is this more power than Pioneer can handle?
- Yes, they are very good and hard to beat for the money. Only thing that might beat them with a metal tweet at that price is cerwin vega v-max 65, $170 shipped beachaudio.comFrom what i hear the Rockford T162S are really good. I would go with that. You can get it for around $170 if you look around.
- Yes, (Pat) Patrick Turmire... I forget the name of his company, but he engineered products for a whole slew of companies, including Fosgate, PPi, Orion, MTX, Kicker, Viper, Directed, Cerwin vega, Polk, ADS, Image Dynamics, and a bunch more I can't think of right now. He builds knock-offs of the polk and focal speakers, some of which sell for half the price. Do a search for articles on the Car audio mag (car audio and electronics magazine, I think it is?) site - there were a couple of articles/test reports about him/from him. The test report on the Polk SR is his... he was one of the original bidders for the design.Hey Gary, I know you've mentioned it in the past, and as I don't feel like searching the forums for a great while, can you shed some light on who the designer/engineer was for the PPI 365's? Didn't you say he was a rather well-respected individual and had designed speakers for a lot of big-name companies?
I just thought that info could be relevant to helping ShoMe make a very educated choice on which comps to go with.
-Thanks
