Since forever, I've heard NEVER to turn up Bass Boost. I'd see people with their's up over halfway and just laugh. I never used it, and don't plan on it unless pertinent information on the subject should change my views.
With that said, my new T1000-1bdCP says in the manual: "Punch EQ - This control is a narrow band adjustment variable from 0db to +18db @ 45 Hz with a Gyrator based Punch EQ that eliminates frequency shift with boost."
So, does that essentially mean "Don't turn me up because I am a renamed Bass Boost knob", or have they found a way to make Bass Boost/Punch EQ a viable option in fine tuning your sub?
I've read some posts where people said Bass Boost was "required" to get the most out of their amp, but I just don't see this being the case if you're rocking a quality Amp and Sub.
