Wanting to install 12" sub in my boat. I would like to use a fosgate pbr300x1 amp. I need advice as to which sub to put with it. Either the fosgate p2d2-12 (dual 2- ohm voice coil) or the p2d4-12 (dual 4-ohm voice coil)? Which would city my application best and why. Thanks.

p2-d2 wire all the positives together and all the negatives together to get the 1ohm final load the d4 can only wire to 2 ohm which would only give u 150w. ive got two of these things sitting next to me and i will warn u they get a little hot. make sure they have the room to keep cool. ive abused the hell out of mine in the past few months and ive never had them shut off but i have had them hot enough to cook on. i own all of the pbr series except the 500 and they all do this.
