Anyways lets get to the point shall we I just recently bought 2 new 2 ohm 10" subs as the topic implies I have two amplifiers I am trying to figure out which would power these subs better the links below are what I have.

Rockford Fosgate P3D210

Profile AP1200

And a old school one that I might use:

JBL BP150.1

My problem is that I was told that those speakers wouldn't work very well with the Profile amplifier and I was told I should be getting 4 Ohms DVC's instead.

I am just curious as to how I would go about wiring these with either of those two amps I came to this image from the retailers site.

Any input or recommendations of a amplifier under $300 would be appreciated

You should wire those at 2 ohms. Find one that does 1000 at 2 ohms or whatever. Pretty much your only option

well I understand that I need a higher power amplifier but I just can't seem to find the right one or even name brand wise, i've always gone with Rockford but they seem pricey.

All I really want to know is that could I power these sub's with that crappy amp to even make it worth installing before looking for a new amp?

Yes you can run your 10s off of the Profile amp but each speaker will see only 200watts. wire each speaker to 4ohms and connect them to the amp in stereo mode (one speaker per channel).

Plenty of amplifier options... And a good chunk of them are better than name brand stuff.

Yeah which makes me angry I could only imagine what they sound like with 800w instead of 200w lol

Get you a hifonics amp there cheap and they are powerful
