Rockford fosgate/audiobah...not a what to get question

Why dont many of yall like audiobahn/rockford fosgate. I read that people say dont get them but never really a reason. just wondering.....killing time before my shift is over..

Most people don't like Audiobahn here because of their sound quality, and using chrome to make them look better than what they are to uneducated consumers[And other things(>Phat surroud

IMO, I like Audiobahns High Excursions or better IF I got them dirt cheap or free. The higher ends don't look too bad, but anybody I see w/Audiobahns are not very bright (not everyone but most) and gullable(is that the right word?) oh yea, they're a little to mainstream for me. Yep, they can get loud, but I think the sole purpose of a subwoofer ( inmy opinion and to most on this forum,but for a few) is to give you better sound quality. Audiobahns SQ don't cut it in my tastes.

I tell ya 6 years ago I saw the Audiobahn High Excursions (I think) with 700w rms!!! Now I don't mind em, but wouldn't "dream" about them.

(just going off one persons opinion) i kinda thought it had something too do with them being mainstream (way). I have owned both in the past. both sounded good too me. But the price is outrageous...my next system is mostley based off of other peoples opinions..I wonder if I am going to like it....find out in two weeks. ought to be interesting

RF makes quality products...they sell products ranging from total crap that Joe shmoe will buy to shit that will knock your socks off..anyone that says there crap has issues..

Ive owned 2 (800.2)kickers 5 fosgates(800.2, 801x,200a4, 501s,, 250.2,) ..all worked flawlessly while i owned them..i bought one from best buy, and wanted a better 1 so a friend suggested i fu ck it up..threw it on the ground multiple time and soaked it in water...take it to best buy and they look at it(repair place in butt fu ck Idaho) sent it back and it had 0 probs..i was like wtf...shit......i would not hesitate buying there amps...

THEY ARE FAR SUPERIOR TO AUDIOBAHNS

I think a big reason why alot of people dont like Audiobahn stuff is because the majority (OK, ALL) of their products that are sold in retail chains are their lower end junk. They really do have some good high end products and this is where the confusion lies. Since their crap lines are mainstream, its obvious why people dont like them, they **** and are expensive. I have an AB amp and sub that I got for about $300 for both and Im real happy with the setup. If RE or Adire had a low end shitty line that was in retail chains, they would most likely get a bad rap too.

Summary: Majority of Audiobahn products are junk. Their higher end stuff is respectable, yet you wont find them in general stores.

^^^^^^^^^^^^ And you base this comment on how much of their equipment you have used in your vast number of years in your own car. Please dude, if your going to have an opinion make it an informed one and don't try to keep up with the Jones's comments cus dude you are so far behind you thought you were first. Do I like Audiobahn, personally no, does it work well, hell yes. Do people buy it for various reasons, why yes they do, how about that. Do people like or dislike Rockford, survey says.......yup. Any brand of equipment can do the job it was designed to do and do it accurately if it is installed properly and used properly. Maybe you just might want to consider this little major fact. The best gear in the world can sound like bat barf if it is used or installed incorrectly.

Rockford fosgate amps are good. Punch series are good if you get them from bestbuy, especially if you know someone inside that can give you the discount. 50%+ discounts on car audio. I purchsed p3 punch RF 10 inch + replacement plan + taxes for only $117.50. Sub was $199.99 by itself, replacement plan was $34.00 or so, + taxes which would of been about $23 = $256.99.

 

If I had any problem with the sub, then I will just take it back. 4yr plan. I will have good sub for a very long time.

 

Won't upgrade to more power since I don't want to spend more than what I already did, plus I don't want to draw much attention if I did have the power & couldn't resist myself from hitting it much, much, much harder.

 

Amps are good. Titanium series good for comps I guess & if you have the $$. I will settle with kx400.1 for my sub, & kenwood 4 channel 60wx4 for my coaxials RF.

dude...i had 2 12" hx2 and 1001bd amp and then i went with an 1501bd amp so i know what i am talkin about..so i have had some time with them...so don't talkin shit..AGAIn
