SoundStream®
Well I got my Soundstream SPL160 in today and it is a beast of a subwoofer. Weigthing in around 30lbs. I also got around to hooking up my Rockford Fosgate P2002 I got from Seth350 a few months ago for $45 shipped. Since it was cheap I decided to drop this amp into 2 ohm mono. Now it's rated for 4 ohm mono. The only reason I did this is because Seth used this amp to run a jl audio 8w7 @ 3ohm mono so if it can handle 3 ohm then I wanted to see what it could do at 2 ohm.
Rockford Fosgate P2002
50 W x 2 @ 4 Ohms RMS
100 W x 2 @ 2 Ohms RMS
200 W x 1 @ 4 Ohms Bridged RMS
One 30amp fuse
14.4 volt
Testing was done for 15 minutes @ 2ohm mono. The amplifier got pretty warm but not compared to how hot my Rubicon 302 gets. Also got a lil louder then my 302 so I'm guessing it's either the new sub being used or it is putting out around 400+ watts. I know what it sounds like hitting around 135db but I would say I'm getting a few more db's higher imo.
Conclusion.
A great 400+ watt, 2 ohm bridged amp for under $100 ebay style.
