I somehow FRIED my ground to my amp (Rockford Fosgate 1051s) !!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif I think it was caused from running to small of wire to it (8). I noticed for some time the amp would get really hot and some times cut out, would small wire cause this too? Also is this going to cost a arm and leg to get fix, the amp still plays but I cut the power wire till I get it fixed. Here are some pic (poor quality)

Does anyone know if it is repairable???//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

If it got really hot and cut out, that almost sounds like it's trying to drive an impedance under what it's stable to...what subs were you using, and how did you have them wired?

That looks like 10awg wire...what are you trying to do, burn your car up? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I'm being serious...

I'm running 3 JL 10W3v2-D6 in a series witch should come out to 4ohms at the amp, am I correct??//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif The amp is pushing about 380 per sub (1139 Benchtest) and the subs can handle 300 watts. I know the amps alittle overpowering but at the time I was thinking of the future when I bought the amp and maybe upgrading my subs sooner or later! I'll see if I can get some clear pic after I pull the amp from the car and take it to the locale Rockford dealer to get fixed. And yes it 8 awg wire. This weekend I'm inking of up grading the with some 0 awg wire and running the power AND ground from the battery. I also im going to run a PercisionPower PC4200 for my front Components. So do you think 0 awg would work and split it for 4 at each amp?? Thanks

Also when I fist got the amp(3 months ago) and I just had it laying flat on the floor it would cut out , but then I seen somewhere that Rockfords do better standing vertical so thats what I did an then there was no problems untill 3-4 days ago thats when I seen my fried terminal!
