Rockford Fosgate 1001bd

What do you think about the 1001bd? I'm running one L5 and it hits hard, but I don't think it is pushing as hard as it should. What should I check first?

Need to be more specific on the amp.Does it look like a grill or are you talking about the T10001bd that's a square?And I'm not understanding the question about what to check.Like adjustments or something else?
