Clear and crisp I already have a sub so I don't need bass. I am looking for a clean clear sound without having very bright tweeters to hurt my ears like the jbls do
A 5-band parametric EQ or a decent graphic EQ would help tame some of the peaky frequencies you're not enjoying. Also, make sure the button on top of the crossovers is pushed in. If your stock head unit just has a treble adjustment that probably will affect a wide range of frequencies.
I had 2 sets of those comps and they sound great. They weren't worth what I paid for them, but they sound good. $250 a set, I think. Price cut or used, you can't beat them
i got them for 159.99 on amazon, i just installed them and they do sound pretty good, i love the tweets they are not as bright, i even had them on +2 db, i may drop them down to 0 though. but they seem to have better separation then the jbls and also it sounds more centered, the jbls seemed the voice was more on the right.
i don't like how they had the tweets on connections so i had to cut them off and i really didnt want to do that, and also the connections on the woofer are different then the connectors i had, with these rockfords i had to do a lot of modding. but i may keep them in.
