i got a good deal on this amp $200 .it is 1997 modle this amp can be bridged at 4 ohms .has any one every ran one with a 2 ohm load and if so how long can run it like that.i have heard of people running a 1.3 ohm load on this amp and it performs great.

rockford fosgate is know for outstanding power amplifiers, but if the amp says 4 ohms you might want to only use a 4 ohms. you could contact rockford fosgate about that they could tell you yea or nea.

i used to have that amp and i had it bridges all the way down. It heats up and shuts off once in a while. Like a really hot day and after playing it for a while. But it sounds great.

I would not bridge a Rockford amp under 4 ohms. They are notorious for heating up real badly. If you want to keep that amp in good working condition I would not push it that hard....

Just my opinion.

thanks alot for the information.i will not try to bridge under 4 ohms. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif
