Milar shims. First thing I noticed as diff. from the HD3's was the pole was definatley taller on the HDC. The aluminum coil option come with a diff. spider pack. In fact it's basically the HD3. The spiders are alll sandwiched together without the .25in gap inbetween layers.

Having an extra set of hands helps. Once you have your shims in and you are happy with alignement have your partner raise up the cone so you can lay a THICK bead around the spider landing on the basket.

Once you have a nice bead allow the cone to settle softly into place. Take this time to double check your shims and make sure they are still pushed down and happy.

With your partners help have them push down on the spider ring so it's nice and tight opposite of you. Make sure that you keep applying downward pressure. Using small sprays of your activator and slowly apply .5in at a time while maintaning pressure ahead and behind where you spray. Turn the sub as you go around.

This is how clean your basket should be:D

Now your ready to glue down your surround. In the past I've used a pencil to draw around the surround so I would know where to lay my bad of glue. Today I didn't need one cause the surround fit beautifully right up to the basket. Flip the foam over( again having an extra set of hands helps) Lay your bead down don't be skimpy and let the foam settle softly in place.

Apply downward pressure till you see glue coming out around the foam. Do this all the way around your sub. Apply spray as mentioned before in small areas. Always Keeping pressure in front and behind of where your spraying.

I would suggest keeping any and all activator away from the cone. Excess activator can turn these cones white.

After you've got your cap on go ahead and lay another bead around the cap and along the inside of the beveled edge.

Now that youv'e got that done starting with the spider landing add another bead of glue along the edge where the spider pack touches the basket and another on top of the spider pack to fill up that small gap between the edge of the spiders and the ring. These are essentials to having your sub stay together. Lastly run another beaad around the edge of the surround.

Put on your beauty ring if you so choose and your ready to go. These can be put pretty much go

straight into a vehicle but I always suggest letting them sit and finish curing over night.
