So I have a custom stealth install in my 2006 GTO, to install the side panel subs we had to remove the stock deadening foam and take out my arm rest insert and cover it with speaker cloth instead. This has left me with a ton of road noise coming through the speaker cloth and the panels. What can I do to reduce the noise? Its already covered with raamat but I know that doesnt help much with road noise. Closed cell foam? What kind? How much of a difference will it make?

Pics of install:

Road noise is bothering me so much im considering taking them out!!

You need a barrier for that. Second skin sells one called Luxury Liner Pro that would be appropriate for that application. Cascade VB-4.5 is a similar product.

Ok I will check it out, would ensolite foam be thick enough? Also will it eliminate most of the noise?

Products like Ensolite won't do dick to stop noise //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif No where near thick enough to absorb useful frequencies and no where near dense enough to block noise.

What is the difference between Luxury Liner Pro and Overkill Pro? It says to use Luxury Liner on top of Overkill.
Overkill is similar to Ensolite. Overkill Pro is a thicker version. Luxury Liner is a composite of foam and a very dense MLV layer intended to block sound. You don't need to put it over anything but a vibration damper. You want LL Pro for use in doors because the foam is closed cell and won't hold moisture the way open cell foam will.

Ok thanks, so I should just put the LL pro over the Raamat deadener I have on there already. How much does the LL pro weigh? I dont want to weigh down the ride too much since I race it.

I believe it is 1lb/ft² and you really need full coverage to block the sound. Unfortunately there is no substitute for mass when it comes to blocking sound. Your best bet would be to completely cover the outer door skin.

ok im about to order luxury liner pro, is this the best thing I can get for the road noise through these panels? If there is something better please let me know asap.

Lead is theoretically better but it is more expensive and harder to find. MLV is pretty much standard. Do you know that Second Skin is in Phoenix? You can save some money if you pick it up.
