get cages and straps on the pedals.

What's the point of all that anyway? I know they're popular... Is it more for high cadence situations?

I did make sure I got pedals that had provisions for them. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

its ok because you have a brake, but you need to learn to skid stop using the pedals. so you do go flying over the handle bars when you use your front brake to hard.

and that frame looks too big for you.

I'm gettin a 19T and straps shortly.
It's hard to hop, and this 18T freewheel has got to go. Then real bullhorns, a BMX brake lever and new brakes, then the traitor frame and a new headset.
I dont know how many teeth your front chainring is,

but do a 17 cog on the rear. for sure.

It's a 48T, I'm running a 16T fixed out back right now and that can get me keepin up with traffic around town, so it'll do for my high gear. The low gear will more for slow riding ad just... to have more torque... and it looks like I'd be able to get up to a 3 tooth difference in this dropout if I'm careful and also get a half link.

Worst case I gotta sell the 19 and get an 18.

When I was a kid, my friend had a sweet fat framed PK-Ripper. I use to want one so bad. lol Ive been thinking about buying a Ripper frame and building one up for fun and nostalgia. I bet most people here have never even heard of PK Rippers.
