Something like a JL 1000/1 or Tantrum 1200.1, which both do their maximum power over a range of impedances, would be ideal.

I wouldn't mind getting a nice review of the LMT, the new XXX, and the Tumult. See how these new high excursion subs fair. It may be a justifiable cause to upgrade my equipment.

TC Sounds made a few prototype 8" drivers with the LMT topology.

They were on sale over on SIN a few months back for $300 each.

u know as volume goes up the efficiency gain of d over a/b levels out...but regardless, the Trailblazer will at least get a red top and the big three to help out...

I'll do a review\comparison of the RL-s and new XXX as I plan on getting both of them. I'm not sure yet if I am going to get a tumult but i wouldn't count it out.
