RL-p vs. new RL-s

I can't really give a comparison of the rl-p to the rl-s, since the rl-s aren't even on sale yet. But it would all depend on your plans for box size, amp choices(rl-s is only available in 3.5 ohm, where rl-p is dual 4). I would get an rl-p just because it is a more practical driver for daily use,IMHO. Either way you can't go wrong.

I heard SoundSplinter has a new line comming out, how does it compare to the old RL-p series? I see a lot of good deals on old used RL-p's lately:greedy: .
For completely different applications really. If you are looking at less than 1kw, go with the rl-p. If you have a ton of power AND space, rl-s.

I should recieve my rl-s tomorrow. I'll post impressions and pics. I don't own an rl-p though so I can't give you a direct comparison.

Are you just looking for a single sub setup?

For the RL-s:

For one you need to have about 1000 - 1500 Wrms amp at 3 - 4 ohms

For two you need to have about 2000 - 3000 Wrms amp at 1.5 - 2 ohms

The comparison actually quite rediculous...The two drivers are soo different, that you can't really compare them. The RL-s (LMT) will blow the TL-p (TC9) away in all aspects. (except overall value - they arent cheap)
