RL-p vs. L7

Can the SS RL-P compete with an L7 SPL wise? Ive heard good things about the RL-p's. I really want to go another route than L7. I heard the spl is ridiculous but SQ is shifty. Whats a better all around buy. I am more geared towards spl though. Just looking for the best of both worlds I guess. Is that possible without breaking the bank?

Or an HDC315. I consider my HD's the best of both worlds as I listen to a wide variety of music and they sound good on all of it. Then throw some power at them and they get stupid loud, but still sound good...

I was **** happy with the output and SQ of my 2 15 rl-p's when I had them. Now I'm going to see what their 18"s will do, lol.

I like the look of those RL-P's. I may go with them. soundsolutionsaudio.com has 2 for 500$ I was also looking into the new HDC3's but I dont know how long it will be before they go on sale. Im too anxious. Anybody know of a expected release date?
