hey guys need some opinions. was thinking about switchin out the rl-p 15 for either a pair of AA assassin 8's or 10's.

what do u think i will be looking at in terms of SQ and output?

they will be getting plenty power and i plan to build a enclosure for the 15 if i keep it, or the dual setup.

i used to have a rlp 15...and now i have 2 assassin 10's...so i guess i would qualified to answer you...lolz

i was feeding my rlp 900 watts, and now the two 10's 400 each...so pretty darn close in terms of power...

output wise i would say the sq is roughtly the same but the output is quite a bit different...i'd say there's a noticeable reduction in spl for the 2 10's compared to the single 15 rlp...

then again i spent 1/2 the amount of the rlp with the two 10's...overall i would have to say i was and am happy with both setups...for the money anyways...

currently i'd take my two tsw3kspl's over the rlp because i spent only $200 on them and they get as loud as my ex rlp if not louder...

well yeah you spent money on only one woofer instead of 2 that has more cone area than the two...and it also needs half the power since its only one woofer

well i dont really have any room to buy. the company i work for is on the brink of bakruptcy, and i expect to be on unemployment by november. and i am a student so i cant really spend big.

so all im willing to spend is what i can sell my rl-p for if i can hehe.

with smaller drivers i can do some fiberglassing in my trunk. the 15 is kinda big and i want to port it, but cant come up with a good trunk plan. with an 8 or 10, i can throw one on each side of the trunk, in the pocket near the rear lights, and glass up some cool enclosures =P

what???

how does it only need half the power because its only one woofer? i'm practically give them the same amount of power...

i'm just saying i spend half the money on the two assassins so i didn't expect more then half the performance on the two assassins but overall i was still very happy with them and the rlps as well...

what r u talking about that it only needs half the power because its only one woofer? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/read.gif.ff512c499c00ed3faae9a20f4b088b29.gif

ok wtf...say u got 1 600w woofer thats a 15 and 2 10 inch woofers that are 600w rms a piece the 15 only needs 600w whle the 2 10s need 1200w and the 15 inch has more cone area...

i understand that but that is NOT the case here...

the two assassins take the same amount of power as the rlp...but they are both combined only half the price...

even tho the rlp and 2 assassins take the same amount of power, the rlp still wins hands down but then again its 2x the price...

so we're not talking about say a type r 15 vs 2 type r 10's where two type r 10s can take 1000 rms each and the type r 15 can take 1000 rms and the 15 has come cone area...we're talking about price and power where the single 15 takes the same amount of power as BOTH 10's...not the 15 taking the same amount of power as one of the single 10s'...
