Rl-P or D6

Trying to decide which to go with. Which is the best SQL driver with hard hitting bass. I was looking at the Fi Q but the mounting depth is too large. I am going to have a pair of 12's. My amp is a JBL bp1200.1, will do 1200@2ohms. My box is a downfire in my f150 and has 2.26^3ft. It is also sealed. Thanks

I'd probably go with the D6s. I own a pair of 12s and do they get pretty loud and still sound good doing so. I'd look into porting them if possible, they only take 1.25 cubes to port. But if you do go ported, I wouldn't suggest tuning them very high, somewhere around 30 is best.

Space is very limited. The absolute biggest mounting depth i can fit is a little under 7. It is going under the back seat in my 05 f150. I'de love to port but dont see that as being an option.. I haven't built the box yet, but the most volume you can squeeze out under there is aroun 2.30 give or take a little. I am still open for suggestions. I dont want to spend more than $600 on a pair.

i'm with beatdominator. i also think the power you have is fine for either sub. i've owned both, i'd have to say the RL-p does edge out the D6, but the D6 is not far behind. SQ is close, RL-p has more low-end to it and the quality was better in my opinion. If you can afford two RL-p's, go for it, if you can't, the Diamonds will not leave you unsatisfied.

I own both, I really have to lean towards the ss's. I really think for the money they are great subs. Thats a really close one though. I really like the d6 also. I don't think you can go wrong with either. I agree with jacka, the low end on the rlp's is a little stronger.

just purely imo, but taking the rlp over the tc3000 is like saying you'll take a blazer over a escalade because your garage is slightly too short for comfort for the escalade even though they are the same price...

honestly man, the rlp is worth its price, and the sq is great and all but from a extra value stand point, the tc3k right now's sale is pretty crazy and being that they are the same price, i'd try some how to make it work in your set up, its a pretty deep sub but unless theres no way in hell to make it work, then get the rlp...
