ripped muscles rebuilding?

lol.. i went with intentions on doing my back, and yesterday was bi/tri and the day before chest

i couldnt do any back excersies it just hurt hardcore on the chest and arms.. so it was a mellow day with shoulders

hah

your supposed to let your muscles heal for 48 hours after every workout. I go to the gym every other day. take some protien powder after you work out and on your off day and you wont be sore. protien really helps the soreness and creatine helps even more. i wouldnt do an intense workout everyday if i were you unless your targeting a specific muscle group each time. you can damage your muscles that way.

I believe it's 72 hrs of rest for that particular muscle group. Probably smart to not work upperbody more than 2 days in a row.

I do:

Day 1: Bi's/Tri's

Day 2: Shoulders

Day 3: Legs

Day 4: Back

Day 5: Chest

Day 6: Off

Day 7: Off

i had a similar experience of over working my muscles, i stopped working out about two years ago and about 6 months ago i went right in and did an intense bi/tri workout with my buddy and my arms seriously locked up for about 6 days. the first four days i really could not move them without excruciating pain ensuing. the 5th day i could start to bend them a little more but i still had a lot of pain and i couldn't quite make them straight. by the 6 day, the pain had pretty much subsided but i couldn't straighten my arms out til the next day. what happened here? did i over exert my muscles?

I dont know the science behind it, but you should of known from the start it would hurt like a mofo.

When I first joined the varsity volleyball team at my highschool, I had just started working out. Maybe a month or so. We were doing intense leg and ab workouts. I felt like I was going to die every day as we did it EVERY day. No real rest. I had to pretty much **** it up till I got used to it. I could barely walk.

If I slack for just one week and go back at it like I normally do, I'll be sore for 3-4 days.

I actually ripped my muscle a couple years back, completely seperated my pec from my sternum. It rolled up into a ball in my shoulder. I had to have 400 sutchers and they actually went through my nipple to attach it back lol.
What the hell did you do for that to happen. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif
