Oh sorry for your loss OP. I know how it feels to lose a pet that has been in the family for so long.

Sometimes it helps to get another pet sooner than later. Always works for me, but I will always remember.

Yea they are; they're very selfish dogs (with respect to other dogs), but thats what gives them such a unique personality.
