RIP SnoopDan

Whats laughable is your logic. First and foremost if we were banning people for questioning authority this very thread for you to post in wouldnt exist and neither would any of the members. Secondly you ignore the fact that he was given atleast a dozen chances without repercussion to follow the rules. Fact of the matter is he pushed the envelope on rules we asked him to abide by and he did not. The point AH is making is that the members here are given alot of leniency compared to other forums. We simply ask our members to follow a few very simple rules: Dont troll outside the Dome (Snoop did on a regular basis), no racist terms, no ******/partial ******, no threats. Thats pretty much the extent of it. If you cant follow those go find a new place on the net to hang out.
You made a claim on my logic but you didn't show how it was flawed. Did I say that every time someone criticizes they are banned? No, and I would have had to say that for you to have any sort of point. Nice try.

Your logic is flawed due to the fact that dan did break the rules, many times. And your logic about leniency here versus other sites is flawed because, as you see, your post questioning this site's rules and mod behavior is allowed to exist, most other forums it would not. That is not a justification for banning dan, its to make people realize they have a lot more freedom of expression here than some of them claim.

Have a nice day.

Snoops fate has been decided. Now what about MOT.
I replied ina couple threads last night about the status of MoT. The mods have had a long discussion about how to handle the situation, and even Mike agrees it is in the best interest of the site and staff for him to be banned at least until he settles the situation. Since a mod cannot ban another mod, we are waiting for Goob as the site admin to take care of it (or overrule the decision, since he does own the site). What a more long term decision will be made I do not know, again that will likely be up to Goob to decide.

In the brief time I've been lurking here I've noticed a few trends. At first I thought the thunderdome was an anything goes section. Now I see people getting banned because they posted their opinions in the section reserved for posting opinions. The mods can say what they want to try to justify their actions, but their feelings were hurt and they didn't cite any rules violations in their bannings. So after reading his post I looked up audioholic's posts from the past. He has a history of taking things way too seriously on the internet and flexing the muscle he was given. This is not the first time he has banned someone for actions in the dome or backed the banning of someone for their actions in the dome. I am sort of laughing at the justifications. "try to insult a mod on another forum and see how long you last". What he is saying is that it doesn't matter how wrong what he did was. What matters is that as long as these mods attempt to behave a bit less oppressive than other forums, the majority of the members will stay here vs going elsewhere. I'm questioning if that's actually true or just his self evaluation. It seems off the mark to me.

This whole thing is laughable.
Your brief time lurking here huh? I find this reply ironic, and less than sincere, since you are an AE of Nuthugger, a long-time member of this site. AE's are not allowed. PM me which account you plan to use from now on (and no others, such as the BlakeC account either), and I will ban the others. Thankyou.

Thank you for the response. I was not on the site much yesterday. Good to see it is finally getting somewhere.

No problem, glad to answer your question. The members here have every right to question the MoT situation, and I apologize that we have not come to a conclusion sooner. Like I said yesterday, its simply a situation the moderator staff has never encountered before, so its taken some time to sort out the best course of action.

You have a lot to learn about networking. I have no AE's... but you seem to be banhappy. I don't care about this site and have nothing to prove to you. It's funny that you were upset enough to do an IP check and find out that I'm on the same network and in the same town as other people who have also used this forum. WOW you nailed me..... genius.

I know enough about networking to realize that when you and he share the exact same multiple IP addy's, you and he are the same person. So again, decide which account you will be staying on, so I can remove the others.

BTW, if I was "banhappy", I would simply ban all your accounts, as using an AE to impersonate someone else is against the forum rules. Im trying to cut you a break here, I suggest you accept that.

HAHAHAHAHOHOHEHEHAHAHAHA!™ How convenient of him.
I realize there is no solution to the MoT issue that will satisfy everyone. Im not sure how Mike agreeing he needs to be removed for the sake of the site is convenient, since, as I understand it, the payments were made via paypal and he can still be contacted through that medium. But since you are implying it, yes we mods discussed keeping him non-banned, even if just for a set amount of time, to allow members here owed money to have a correspondence with him. I suggested such an idea, and was then informed of the paypal info. So again, Im sure no matter what action is taken, some people will find a reason to complain. Dont ban him, someone will complain. Demote him, someone will complain. Ban him and you will still find a reason to complain. *shrug* Sorry to anyone who does not agree with our methods, but we are doing our best to resolve this.
