I am just a strong supporter of the second ammendment. To me, the second ammendment and guns is like what Car Audio is to the really active audio enthusiests. Just a hobby and a way of life

Remarks like that will get you on the good side of the moderators ... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
and i should change my opinion just because some moderators are from canada?? is that what you're saying?

Or are you saying that you'd try and ban someone who's here to get advice and spread advice that they know just because they have an opinion that clashes with the staff's opinion?

ya i know, it was a joke, thumbs up to the second amendment

bmg, i have owned TWO, count, TWO glocks. all glocks are not black. you can get a nickel plated slide if you would like. so freshen up on YOUR gun knowledge. i have been reading as well. all of the polymer guns out today are knock offs of glock since gaston came out with it first. the xd which phoneman owns takes from the sig sauer, colt 1911, and glock. but ir has made certain things better which he stated. it seems we have a newbie that has posted almost as many posts on here in one month than i have since coming here. get a life and pull your computer keyboard out of your ***. if you went outside sometime and actually looked around you then maybe your opinion would really matter to me. but since you cant seem to pull yourself away from your computer screen dont even think about lecturing me. i have a mossburg 12 ga. pistol grip you can play with if you would like. from what i hear you like to **** on big long tubes so i thouhgt i could appease you. you should get a real bang out of it.

phoneman, my friend is a longtime member of our local swat. he has more money tied up in guns than he has in his house! it has automatic, three round burst, and semi auto.

Glock was not the first polymer handgun. In 1969 H&K came out with the P9s which the receiver was polymer moldes around a steel frame. And then in 1973 H&K came out with the first all polymer frame handgun known as the VP-70z. Glocks came about in early 80's.

Glock was made famous by hollywood. So really you saying that all polymer framed pistols are knock offs of glock is a poor generalization. Yes thay do seem to look a bit similar since it has a polymer frame but that is about all.

so far as using polymer as a major percentage of the gun it was the first. read up on this:http://www.gunsandammomag.com/ga_handguns/polymer_progress/.

Actually, the Glock 17 wasn't the first handgun with a polymer frame. That distinction goes to the 1973 offering from Heckler & Koch of their VP-70Z. The H&K was far ahead of its time; it was a striker fired DAO pistol with a huge magazine capacity.

Handgun development also commanded the attention of HK designers and engineers during these years. In 1969, a reworking of the delayed-locked roller bolt system was introduced in a pistol - the P9S. Acclaimed for its accuracy, the P9S was officially embraced by several elite military units, including the US Navy SEALS. However, the most radical feature of the P9S was its design. The receiver was designed using a newly developed high-tech plastic composite called polymer, which molded around the steel frame. With the development of another polymer framed HK handgun, the futuristic VP70, these models predated by more than fifteen years the introduction of polymer framed handguns by competing firms.

The VP-70z had an entire Polymer frame just as the Glocks do. The only thing glock has going for them is they are way more popular and mass produced then almost any other gun. That is the reason they are known as the first polymer framed gun which they are not. Hell the G17's didnt first hit the american market until 1986
