I'm in the wheel business and that +20 offset is for a rear wheel drive vehicle and it may not have rubbed the strut plate but I bet it polked out past the fender well which it's not supposed to do. Most front wheel drive vehicles will need what's called a "high positive offset" and rear wheel drive vehicles will need "low to mid offsets" until you get into doing staggered fitments....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gifU dudes sure about HIGH offset?? I would do 22x8 wit 235/30/22 tires.. you can put Spring spacers in.. get about 2 inches of lift that way.. and it cheap do it yourself all u need is a floor jack..
my dude had 22x8.5 on his 95 monte on 255/30 tires.. offset was 20 and it didnt rub at all.. his new ones were 22x8.5 wit same dimension tires but offset was 35 and rubbed his strut plates in back and fender well in front.. 1 and 1/2 inch adapters later he is rollin clean again, but pokin out an inch more

ok well, I talked to a custom shop owner today and I can get everything on there and good for about 3 grand. (now this is the rims/tires/labor/ and getting them road ready.)It might be closer to stock height then one that's been lifted, but you can still expect 2 to 3" height difference.
It's already been stated.
22x8 or 22x8.5 with a +35 or higher.
Period.
End of story.
You can easily mount the wheels yourself. But you're going to wanna go to a shop and have them balanced and an alignment done.ok well, I talked to a custom shop owner today and I can get everything on there and good for about 3 grand. (now this is the rims/tires/labor/ and getting them road ready.)
but I think I can do this my self, and save myself a grand.
Im just going to order the 5 lug 22" rims and tires that the raben wheel city reccomend for me and do it myself.
Thoughts?
X2. occasionally it will look alright but for the most part yeh anything over 20s should be for an suv or truck. i got 17s on my car. looks fine to me.Anything bigger than 20's on a sedan/coupe is fu cking retarted. Leave the big rims for the suv's. Everytime my friends or i see a car with huge rims we laugh our ***** off. We stare because we cant keep our eyes off the hidious things and wonder whats going through there heads.. The only time big rims look good is when there bagged or dropped. Who the **** would want to raise there car to fit retartedly big rims on a car ment for 15's. I can't wait for this phaze to fizzle just like the spinners.
They probably have low self esteem and are seeking the attention of all the other queers that think its hip. I like caprices, monte's, cuty's but only if they got some nice "smaller" wheels. It just pisses me off that people completly ruin a nice clean ride.X2. occasionally it will look alright but for the most part yeh anything over 20s should be for an suv or truck. i got 17s on my car. looks fine to me.
