Ricers... /rant

Ok you know what I have been seeing a lot of complaints about Ricers. it seems every day someone is complaining about some rice rocket that they saw or a ricer boy. and most the time peoples attitude in general towards any kind of import car. It just irritates me how some people see any kind of import and label it a ricer. maybe these people just like way it looks. its all about personal preference. you should knock on people because they like a certain thing. Another thing that really irritates me is how a lot of people who drive v8 cars always think that no matter what a 4cyl cant beat them. well i have news for you it can happen. Its all about your power to weight ratio and while v8 engines produce a lot of power they also have a lot of weight so they need even more power to compensate. trust me I have seen a 4cyl evo with about 1000hp. and those things are so light they would smoke plenty of v8 cars. so by people stating that because they have a v8 they are faster than some 4 cyl they are putting forth the same type of attitude of that as a Ricer. I’m not singling anyone out here i would just like people not to be so hypocritical all the time talking about I’m a muscle car man blah blah blah. I’m better than these import punks. its all double standard. Its all about the attitude of the individual not anyone/everyone who drives an import car. Hell I have driven Japanese imports German imports and plenty of v8 cars. I don’t like one over the other just because of where it came from I don’t really car where it comes from. I like what i like and no one can tell me they are better than me because they dive something different from what i do.

I dont dislike imports, in fact, I almost bought one. Id still drive one now.

But the only thing i dont like is how some people (ricers) have a cocky attitude and tell you that your car or truck sucks and is slow. and then turns out you beat them and they have a bad attitude.

I have nothing against imports. Just some of the people that drive them.

What exactlly is a muscle car? There is no book that I am aware of that covers muscle cars without mentioning the mustang. A mustang II is no muscle car but late 60s, Ford was indeed a player in the musclecar game. They didn't have a hemi, but they had Carrol Shelby

the latest mustangs, (save the 05+) were an old tired 20 yearold car, no excessive amounts of power (hardly modest) not that fun to drive. etc.

ha...I wouldn't own a new car, foreign or domestic. I don't like computers managing what a flat head screwdrive can manage.

I am not stupid enough to argue that items managed by computer are inferior to carbs, I just perfer to manually tune using screwdrives, not laptops. I have a better idea of what's going on.

lol. the mclaren is a COMPLETE supercar. the ferrari enzo is a complete supercar. the pagani zonda is a complete supercar. the nsx is an affordable supercar.

I think the nsx is also complete. what is missing? did they forget something other than the $250,000-$500,000 price tag? Last I checked, an $80,000 car that 98% will never drive is a supercar in my book.

That is one of the most well reasoned takes I have read here,a nd it is absolutley right on man. In another term, I like redheads, does that mean everyone that likes blonde chicks is an *******? Brunette fans are stupid and full of shit? It really is absurd. I drive a Honda because it suits my transportation needs and I like the way it drives and handles. I could care less if I get smoked in the quarter, because I don't race people, because I don't care to. I have a nice car so I can get to work and get more *** than a toilet seat, and be it a corvette, supra,mustang,EVO,charger,whatever that's what I'm about. I see more retarded wastes of money than you can imagine working at a Honda service department and it sickens me, just the same as it sickens me to see dirtbag mullethead rollin in his pile of shit. I believe time is equal opportunity, and will turn an equal # of once cool cars into piles of garbage. Except civic dx's- they were never cool to begin with, non-VTEC having piles of shit.

civic DX's hatch backs are great for swaps, light, no powersteering, no power locks doors, etc. i'd consider buying one if i was going to drop a b18, or something of the sort in it
