Ricers... /rant

Hooray finally some love for the import crowd. And about displacement... after you tune a motor so much... there is little else that would produce results other than increasing displacement...the limits of the metal itself comes into play... and increasing displacement increases your potential....
I was reffering to the fact that +14.696 psi (2 atm) = 2x volumetric efficiency; which essentially (I slaughtered that didn't I) is a replacement for displacement.

Now, you KNOW when we say import, we mean Japan, don't even begin to pull off the "Well Euro is still import" because you know **** well we didn't mean anything German or Italian engineered.

Find me a new an 06 import that will smoke an 06 Z06, and I will shutup.
Skyline GTS will run high 11's, more realisticly low low 12's though.

The new skyline? HAH! Its onl 450hp and mid 3000lbs

I cited an article from a magazine and clearly stated it was a 2002 article, as well as pushing the fact that I believe they have kept the record up, but was not sure seeing as how I got the information from an old article //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
Sorry.

Nice qualification to back up your narrow minded, and wrong point of view. What I think is really funny is that Hondas and Toyotas are built in the US, while most Generous Motors product comes from Canada, and Mexico. So, technically, your beloved American Muscle is built in the 51rst and 52nd states. You drive imports. Funny.

Buy a Donkervoort D8 270RS for around 50,000 GBP and beat the Z06 by 25 seconds around the Nurburgring ...
pWn3d by a 1.8 liter inline 4 ...

is that thing street legal? how about the honda f1 car?

rumors are the blue devil supercharged z06 is doing 7:20s.

and as for wrc, let us not forget the cosworth escort that owned everyone in the 80's and didnt do too bad in the 90s. not sure if they still run them, i dont keep up on wrc.

but back to the point, you get more performance FOR YOUR MONEY by staying american. reliability is a null point because noone knows how well brand new cars will be holding up in 10-15 years.
I believe the Japaneese imports have shown an incredible track record for reliability that really can't be questioned or argued with. Why would they build reliable cars for 20 years, build a huge following in part due to that reputation, charge a premium price in every segment of the market, and then just decide, "nahh, from now on we'll just build crap."Try as you might, you can't play the "new car reliability is an unknown" card and not look like a fool. This debate is getting rediculous. American cars rule, no imports rule, no, you ****, no you are an idiot, blah blah...Any car can be made fast with the right application of knowledge, time and cash. How many of you have seen v8 Vegas? Pile of shit car, but often fast if done right.

Oh yeah... american cars are just the fastest sh!t ever created huh? Well lets take a look... how many american cars do you see running in the WRC, or Le Mans, or any other big racing event? Very few to none. Where do you see american cars? On drag strips and NASCAR... Thats right... NASCAR! the redneck sport. There's nothing special about going around in one big circle for 500 laps... try racing a REAL circuit. And about dragstrips... the only reason you see american cars there is that they are simple crap, and nobody wants to tear up a nice car to make it go fast.... i mean, come on...tear up a 70,000 dollar nsx, which could smoke most of your v-8 clunkers, or go have fun with a chevy 350 in a lightweight car.

well for starters the Ford Focus runs in the WRC, Chevrolet kills the LeMans races. And NASCAR isnt only for domestics, Toyota has a team in the NASCAR Truck Series. When it comes to drag racing, all kinds of cars are used from Civics to Mustangs, NSX's to Cavaliers....If you are going to talk shit and say that one company doesnt participate in certain sports atleast back it up instead of making illegitimate statements.

actually i believe it was a 95, id have to fine the thread on clubrsx.com
as i said before, the limit on power for japanese cars is 270 or 280 hp. which is what the r33 skyline from 95 had. it does not break into the 12's stock.

im not hating on skylines because they're badass cars and its one of the few japanese cars i would proudly drive. they can easily be made fast but are not overly quick stock. (not what i consider quick anyway)

did they get around the limit for the new version with 450 hp, or is that only for exports or what? i haven't heard anything about it.

okay, then it's settled; muscle dominates all in all categories.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
thats not what its about or what im saying. what was originally said that set off all us domestic drivers was the imports (japanese cars) DOMINATE (exact word) american cars, and i believe in all categories was said. we're saying they dont. sure you can make a japanese car fast, but because of the hp limit they dont come super quick stock, and for the most part cost more $$ per hp.

most all japanese cars are built to be driven.. not showed off like a trophy. and they are built to be driven for years and years and years, and still be affordable...
And thats exactly why you dont attempt to trick out or make an econo box fast or look cool, thats not what there made for!
