This isn't meant to replace a traditional amp for daily use, guys. It's made specifically for SPL competitions, where you don't play burps for anywhere near 16 seconds anyways.

It's fine. I don't see why it has everyone up in arms, except that maybe they're chuffed that they just dished out for a full battery bank (that will go mostly unused), multiple alts, and crazy huge amplifiers that COULD put out continuous power, except that the subs couldn't take it.

Or people in the car audio scene are just against progression and advancement. :\

actually it is made to play music, NOT burp. The guys at RF swear its one of the best sounding amps theyve tested and are almost insisting that i DONT get a big battery bank like i planned too. 2 batterys and a decent alternator should do. Im going to do dual alts because its the right thing to do and you can never have too much alt IMO anyway.

Probably dual 250's and a 2 bad *** batterys. Then ill be the judge on how this technology works on a daily basis and let everyone know.

Maybe it's just been a while since I've read any in-depth threads/posts about the amp.....but from everything I remember reading RF did not design the amplifier "strictly for burps".

Well, it's designed for "transients", and because thats all that makes up music, it could theoretically deliver 15kw unless you were listening to say...a sine wave song. :\

Reading between the lines however, it comes across as a very good amp for spl competition.
